Until now we’ve used several grades of dark chocolate for our bars and buttons. We’ve always had a range of 70% flavours – and the rest of our dark chocolate was a tasty and respectable 56%.
During recent recipe tests we tried ALL of our dark recipes using our favourite 70% dark chocolate and – BINGO! We loved the way that everything tasted… in fact we decided on the spot to switch all of our dark chocolate to the higher and more chocolatey grade.
Yes, OK, it’s a bit extravagant and I’m sure that our accountant will raise an eyebrow at the fact that we’re not increasing our prices… but we’re confident that we’re creating better flavours – and that’s what our customers deserve.
