Supporting Village by Village
Chocolate with an impact
We select sustainably grown, fully traceable chocolate. We directly support smallholders in Ecuador and village projects in Ghana, and are increasingly using ingredients that are processed at source. This includes chocolate from: Colombia, Madagascar and Ecuador - adding wealth and prosperity to growers and poorer economies.
As part of this we have partnered with the charity Village by Village who are working to eradicate poverty in Ghana. As an all girl team, we work with projects that empower women and girls.

A collaboration between Welsh art and chocolate has resulted in a new range of bilingual packaging for Coco Pzazz chocolates. Driftwood Designs, known for their stunning artwork, has teamed up with Coco Pzazz to create packaging that is both visually appealing and eco-friendly. The packaging is completely bilingual, featuring Welsh greetings and descriptions alongside English, even down to the nutritional information. Coco Pzazz founder Lorraine Whinn (Lori) has long admired Lizzie Spikes's (Driftwood Designs' artist) work, stating, "They aren’t just pretty and colourful, they are also a little irreverent, and whenever I see them, I want to smile. Just like tasting great chocolate – they bring happiness." The four bespoke designs are: Croeso - Crunchy Coffee (Roasted in Eryri) milk chocolate bar Cariad - Bara Brith flavour chocolate - gently spiced with dried fruit Dragon - Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate (Welsh sea salt of course!) “Love my Dog” - 70% dark chocolate This collaboration highlights the shared Welsh heritage of both companies, their commitment to eco-friendly practices, and their all-female teams. Lizzie Spikes commented on the collaboration, expressing her excitement about creating the designs and watching customers enjoy the chocolate. Lorraine Whinn added, "This collaboration with Driftwood Designs is bound to see customers ‘buying with their eyes’ more than ever." You can buy these from our website or look out for Coco Pzazz chocolate with Driftwood’s designs in gift shops, delis, farm shops, food halls, garden centres, heritage sites, and community and convenience stores across the UK.
Learn moreFlavour alert: Peppermint is back – and better than ever!
Remember our old peppermint dark chocolate buttons? We all loved them, but honestly, we got a bit bored with the flavour (and our factory smelled perpetually minty!). We know peppermint chocolate isn't a new trend; but it's a classic for a reason. We’re renovated and reinvented the flavour with a crunchy twist! We wanted a pure breeze of peppermint that would work perfectly with 70% dark chocolate for our new mini bar, especially for our dairy-free or plant-based customers. So, we tried peppermint again, this time pairing a clean, minty peppermint oil with great dark chocolate and crunchy cocoa nibs for something truly unique. And WOW! We all love it – even the team members who aren't usually dark chocolate fans! OK - the factory still smells minty - but we really don’t mind. You’ll find this new favourite in our 28g mini bar - we’d love to know what you think!
